MBC drama "When A Man's in Love - shows Song as tough guy Han Tae-sang. He's a wild man who's lived a lonely life.
Han Tae-sang is cold and strong on the outside but is cold and lonely on the inside. His cold eyes reflect the hard times he must have gone through between his father and mother when he was a child.

Song Seung Heon plays the cool and collected Han Tae Seung, who has impressive problem solving skills and is powerfully driven. The successful businessman Han Tae Seung, despite his achievements, was actually abused by his parents when he was a child and was lonesome in his childhood years. When he met Mi Do (played by Shin Se Kyung), he seemed to see a bit of his childhood self in her, and for the first time in his life, he fell in love with someone.
Shin Se Kyung plays Seo Mi Do is an ambitious young girl who wants to join the “upper society”; she is bright, optimistic and very likable. Although Seo Mi Do comes from a poverty stricken family, she is not afraid of anything and enjoys challenging herself.
Yeon Woo Jin plays the diligent, smart Lee Jae Hee, who was brought up with his older brother by their grandparents and as a result, is particularly close with his sibling. Lee Jae Hee is thankful to Han Tae Seung for helping him build the relationship between himself and his brother, and also gets along well with the businessman; however, Lee Jae Hee develops a special feeling for Seo Mi Do, and the relationship between the two men becomes strained.
“When a Man Loves” tells the triangle love story between three people. The series is written by Kim In Young, who also wrote the script for “Equator Man”, and the director is none other than Kim Sang Ho, who is famous for his works in “Couple or Trouble”, “Can You Hear My Heart”, “Arang and the Magistrate” and “Possessed”.
